INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the second edition of the Council Newsletter.
One of the difficult tasks for any large organization is to stay in touch with all its spread-out centres to share and maximise the blessings we enjoy in the Lord. Good communication and a good understanding of each other are very important - whether it's on the local scene, or internationally.
As such, one of the functions of this Newsletter is to try and introduce to you different areas of our global Fellowship.
This quarter we introduce the state of Queensland, Australia and North America.

SO, YOU'VE NEVER BEEN TO QUEENSLAND ...
To most Australians Queensland is famous for its surf beaches and tropical weather, the Gold Coast, Cairns and Noosa Heads. But the best part of Queensland is the Fellowship.
The Revival Fellowship is well represented with 10 assemblies scattered mainly along the coastal cities and towns of Australia's Sunshine State, as well as in small outposts in between.
Not everyone knows where all the Queensland saints are so we introduce them for you as follows:

QUEENSLAND PASTORS' CONFERENCE 24~26th JANUARY
For probably the first time ever all the Queensland pastors managed to get time off and make it to Brisbane for their Pastors' Conference in January. It was a fruitful weekend with the emphasis on good communication and mutual support. There's plenty of work to do for the Lord there in this growing state.
Also present were a couple of "honorary" Queenslanders for the weekend:
LISMORE - technically located just south of the border in New South Wales but often included in the planning for Queensland due to its proximity
Pastor Peter Miller and his wife Ann came up for the weekend |

NORTH AMERICA
The Australian liaison pastor for North America is Pastor Darryl Williams from Melbourne assembly. The three main assemblies are described below with other locations on the map showing where we have folk.
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA - this work started around 1986 as a result of the conversion a of a young lady from Fresno playing in a women's basketball team in Hobart, Australia. Pastor David Elliott and his wife moved over in 1987 to get things going and he now coordinates our activities around North America.

NEWS FROM AROUND THE WORLD ...
BRAZIL FLOODS
While we are in the Americas, many of you will by now know that massive flooding at the end of February in the Brazilian state of Ceará has left 35 assembly families without housing, food or clothes. The Brazilian government estimates that with the attendant loss of crops, the effects of the inundation will be felt for another 5 months.
An appeal has been made to all fellowships to contribute to relieve the disaster. The Revival Fellowship immediately sent over approximately $A8 000 as emergency relief for those in the greatest need.
"My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth." (1 Jn 3:18)
The Brazilian saints appreciate your generosity in this time of need.
"ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD ... !"
On the subject of the Brazilian disaster, as it happens, Pastor Eliardo and Brother Antonio had need to go into the main provincial center, Iguatu, to complain about the ongoing lack of power from the power company in early March. There was a demonstration going on in front of the Power Company's office. After they got inside the office they found a similar situation so they started up some witnessing while waiting. Before long they had a group of fellow complainants listening in.
Then the most amazing thing happened. As they were preaching to a yet wider circle of waiting customers, the Holy Spirit began to fall on those listening until there were ten of them wonderfully filled and speaking in other tongues!
The senior pastor of Brazil, Pastor Esteves, reported by phone this week "It was amazing, brother!"
Ben Visser and his family |
EUROPE
In more news from Holland, the Revival Fellowship has baptised over 40 since Christmas and they now have around 200 attending meetings. "We are having great difficulty fitting them all in our hall in Dordrecht", says Pastor Pieter Visser.
As many of the new converts come from Rotterdam they will start meetings there from 1st April. (Rotterdam is a city some 30 km to the north of Dordrecht and has a population of over 1,000,000.)
"The current plan is to split the assembly in half and appoint Ben Visser as the local pastor with Harry van Gelderen as his helper. We are expecting the blessing of the Lord to continue as we know that is what he promised, providing we keep on doing things as he showed us."
Look forward to news of progress with the "Rotterdam Revival Fellowship"!
CHRISTMAS CAMPS
Reports have come in from all over Australia (and even from Europe) of some wonderful Christmas camps - great fellowship, good ministry from the Word; and even a number of baptisms. Praise the Lord.
"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for the brethren to dwell together in unity." (Ps133:1)
CONCLUSION
"Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous…" (1 Pet 3:8)
